Towing in Monahans, TX
Broke down on I-20 near the Sandhills, sunk in sand off a Ward County lease road, or stuck on Business 20 in town? Our second yard is in Monahans, on Boston Street — so the truck that comes for you starts here, not 35 miles away in Odessa.

Who Picks Up
Our Yard Is Right Here on Boston Street
My name is John. I’ve spent more than twenty years in the towing business, most of it in West Texas. My son and I started Team America Towing & Recovery in 2019, and we run two yards — one in Odessa and one here in Monahans — so the west side of the Basin isn’t left waiting on a truck to come in from somewhere else.
When you call, you get a local crew that works Ward County every week: the I-20 traffic between Monahans and Pecos, the truck stops along the interstate, and the caliche and deep sand off the lease roads north and south of town. We run heavy-duty wreckers and light-duty trucks out of this yard, so one number covers a family car and a loaded water hauler.
“Monahans isn’t a town we drive out to. We’ve got a yard here. When somebody’s in a bad spot on this end of the Basin, we want the truck to already be close.”
— John, Owner & Operator

Why Ward County Drivers & Fleets Call Us
A lot of companies list Monahans in their service area. Fewer of them keep trucks here. That’s the difference you feel when your rig is down at 2 a.m. on I-20.
What We Do
Monahans Towing & Recovery Services
Everything below runs out of the Monahans yard, 24 hours a day.
What We Do
Calls We run Out Of this yard every week
These are the situations Ward County drivers and dispatchers actually call us about. If one sounds familiar, put our number in your phone before you need it.
THE SITUATION
A loaded water hauler sank to the axles in loose sand on a lease road north of town. The driver can’t move it either direction, and the crew on location is waiting on that water.
WHAT WE DO
Send the GPS pin or pad name and we roll from Monahans with heavy winching gear. We extract the truck without wrecking the drivetrain, check it’s road-worthy and get your driver back on schedule.
THE SITUATION
Your motorhome lost a rear axle on I-20 near the Sandhills. The roadside club sent a tow truck that took one look and left — the coach is too big.
WHAT WE DO
While other towing companies might pass, we assess the situation and bring the right equipment needed for a Class A coach, tell you up front what it’ll take, and get it to a shop that can actually work on it.
THE SITUATION
One of your trucks broke down on I-20 west toward Pyote at 2 a.m. with a load on. You need it moved before the morning shift and you’re managing it from your phone.
WHAT WE DO
2 a.m. is just another call. We take the details, send a heavy wrecker, assess the load and get the truck to your yard or shop — with an ETA we can actually hit.
THE SITUATION
Your car won’t start in a parking lot on Business 20, or you locked the keys in the pickup at the truck stop. You don’t need a tow — you need it running.
WHAT WE DO
A jump-start, lockout or tire change from a truck that’s already in town. If it turns out it does need a tow, the same driver handles that too.
What We Do
Coverage Across Ward & Winkler Counties
The Monahans yard covers the west side of our service area. Odessa covers the east side and Midland. Between the two yards, most of the I-20 corridor from Midland to Pecos is a short run for one of our trucks.
Corridors we run from Monahans: I-20, Business 20 through town, TX-18 north to Kermit and south toward Grandfalls, and TX-302 between Kermit and Odessa — plus the lease and county roads off each of them.
Somewhere not on the list? Call and ask. If we can reach you safely we’ll say so and give you an honest ETA. If we can’t, we’ll tell you that too.
